This is one of the saddest things I’ve heard in a long time.
Gem City Records, one of the last surviving record stores in the area, is closing Jan. 29, 2010. Gem City carries not only cd’s and records but all kinds of cool stuff: posters, games, movies, video games, toys, and collectibles. It’s a truly unique store and will be sorely missed in the Oregon District. :(
